
$10,000 is up for grabs for the winning team of this RIZO.gg x GEFestival tournament. Especially open to students!
The Global Esports Festival 2021, with its inaugural launch in Singapore in December, will be hosting an international Minecraft free building competition. The GEF announced, following the October announcement that the event will be held online with invitations extended to campuses around the globe. There will be no live audience in accordance to COVID-19 mandates, but top builds will be featured globally online.
Singapore has been pushing as an international and regional hub for esports, with several large scale events occurring on its grounds. Participants are given the theme “Your Campus Life”, with the pandemic making its waves many went online to continue their schooling, as campuses see the return of its student body the GEF aims to highlight the student experience and snapshot it.
The GEF will be inviting guest judges to assist in scoring and awarding prizes to the top 20 teams involved, with a bonus award to the popular vote build. SGD $10,000 will be up for grabs as the overall prize pool, with the lion share going to the team in 1st place. Even if you’ve never played Minecraft before, it could still be worthwhile catching the show as participants create famous educational hallmarks around the world.

You can start building as early as 22 November and all submissions are due by 6 December, with winners being announced after judges review the submissions.
